February 12th through November 20th, 2005
"World War II:The Home Front"
A new exhibit concentrating on the Home Front during the war with special attention to Ellicott City and surrounding areas. In conjunction with exhibits, there will be special events with WW II living historians, dances, and other activities to show life during the war. Click here for more information.

October 29th and 20th, 2005
"German PW's in Howard County"
Come learn how German PW's were used by farmers in the local area to help tend their fields. See displays on America and German equipment and vehicles. Meet the farmers, MP's, and the Germans PW's and see how they worked together to help support America.

November 25th, 2005 through January 22, 2006

"Holiday Model Train Exhibit"
Join us for our annual model train exhibit celebrating the joys and excitement of the holiday season. See our 300 sq. ft. O scale train model with over 10 trains and many animated features. Visit Thomas the Tank and James and enjoy the new Dizzy Train layout. Open regular hours plus December 19th - 22nd and 26 - 29th from 11am to 4pm. Closed on Christmas and New Year's Day. December 17th and 18th, 2005

"Christmas on the Home Front"
Come see how Christmas was celebrated during the World War II years in this two day living history event. Visit with the families whose members in the service are able to be home. Also experbince those who loved ones won't be home for Christmas. View the decortions and traditions of this time in America.

November 5th, 2005

"Irish Laborers"
Through living historians, visitors will be able to learn about the hard lives of these Irish Americans in their work, play, and families. They will show how and why the Irish were used as workers but also why the people who lived near the railroad disliked them. Also present will be a 19th centruy apothecary and the state militia will be out to keep order in the town.
